We’re kicking off 2025 – which is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese Zodiac – with a great pair of new 52Toys Beastbox figures!
Both of these were shipped to me as part of their annual VIP membership, which is limited to (I think) around 100 people *worldwide* outside of China. This is the first year I’ve bought that membership, and only the 2nd year they’ve made it available to customers outside of the country, and it sells out very quickly.
VIP memberships include a VIP card, 6 newly released figures shipped throughout the year (for this year, all figures are exclusive variants of regular releases), 1 VIP exclusive release (completely new repaint/variant), and a bunch of extras, including first dibs on limited edition releases AND some extra surprises… one of which I showcase in this video — which is a really nice “Trapper Keeper-esque" collector card binder!
BB-71 Gale is a robotic cobra with really nice articulation, details and styling. This one came with a bonus item, and the VIP exclusive ALSO glows in the dark! It’s pretty cool, but I unfortunately really didn’t absorb its details during the making of this video, but I hope to put together a full review of this one as soon as I can — so be on the lookout for that!
BB-01SY Snake Dio is the fourth in the Dio Zodiac series, and comes with a cobalt blue Box Charger, gold 4cm filler insert and awesome custom snake head, tail and back mounted cannon. This one is of course of the newly reengineered version of Dio with much tighter joint tolerances and better production.
