30万円で買った山小屋（別荘）、ポツンと一軒家
山葵（ワサビ）を栽培してみます。
普通の土の畑でも育てられるようですが、沢を利用して根も太く育てたいと思います。
基本的にわさびは湧水の場所でも普通の山や畑でも、両方で育てる事が出来ます。
家でプランターや鉢で育てる事も可能です。
ただし、その様な「土」で育てたワサビは根が大きく育ちません。
ワサビの根からは、「アリルイソチオシアネート」という物質が出ます。
この物質は殺菌作用が強く、周辺の土壌を殺菌する為に役立っているのですが、その影響でワサビ自身の根も大きくなれないという、よく解らない性質があります。
なので、このアリルイソチオシアネートという成分を水で洗い流してやれば、自家中毒が解消され、根も大きく育つようになり、青々とした「わさび」が出来上がります。
わさびは沢や小川、湧水を利用して流水状態の場所で育てられています。

From the root of wasabi, a substance called "allyl isothiocyanate" is released.
This substance has a strong bactericidal action and is useful for sterilizing the surrounding soil, but it has the unclear property that the roots of wasabi itself cannot grow due to the effect.
Therefore, if you wash away this ingredient called allyl isothiocyanate with water, self-poisoning will be eliminated, the roots will grow larger, and a lush "wasabi" will be created.
Wasabi is grown in running water using streams, streams and springs.
