Today I am sharing
Navratri special
upwas dashmi recipe.
dashmi is traditional
Maharashtrian healthy
recipe of sweet roti ,
which is always enjoyed during
travelling and kids also like
to eat it in tiffin box.
You can store it for 6 - 7 days
in airtight containr.

Ingredients:
for 4 medium sized dashmi
. 1 & 1/2 cup rajgira flour
(amaranth or ramdana flour)
. 1 cup bhagar or sama flour
. 3/4 cup organic jaggery
. 3/4 cup milk+ little more if require
. 1/2 cup clarified butter (ghee)
. pinch of salt
Method;
. Add 3/4 cup milk with jaggery
and mix it well to dissolve the
jaggery
. Mix rajgira flour and bhagar flour
in big plate.
. add salt and 1/4 cup ghee in it.
. Mix the flour properly till crumbly
textured flour will formed.
. Avoid the lumps.
. strain the jaggery mixture to
remove impurities.
. Add it in crumbled flour
and mix well.
. Knead a dough properly.
. Dough is ready,cover with lid
and allow to rest it for 10 -15
minutes.
. After 10 minutes,
. Again add little milk
and knead the dough
properly.
.Take some portion of dough
and give it a round shape,
then flatten it with palm.
. Roll round shape dashmi with roller
pin having thickness about 1 cm.
. Roast dashmi from both sides
on nonstick/thick tawa for 6- 7 minutes
on low flame.
. Apply ghee on it.
. Keep turning and roast till brown
spots appers on it.
. Transfer the dashmi in a plate
and again apply little ghee on it.
. Roast dashmies such a way .
. Allow to cool at room temperature.
. Wrap the dashmies in aluminium foil
or cotton cloth and store
it in airtight container for 6 - 7 days.
. Enjoy dashmi with milk,ghee,
vrat chutney,vrat subji..
tip:
. Always use organic jaggery for dashmi
. Always roast dashmi on low flame.
