Satin stitch might be up there with backstitch as the most commonly used hand embroidery stitch, but it's not quite as easy as it may look to get it really neat. Those packed together, perfectly straight stitches and clean, sharp edges (ugh, those edges) can be a little elusive.
I've been attempting to perfect my satin stitch for years now, so I thought I'd share some of the tips and tricks I've learned along the way! I hope these help you improve your own stitching or encourage you to give satin stitch a try for the first time!
