In this video, I'm covering 7 different countries that pay you to move there through various relocation or resettlement incentives.
Now, many of these paid to move programs are very niche. And they almost always involve moving to a low population area without as much economic opportunity or excitement as a major city.
However, I think these places that pay you to move there are interesting to learn about at the very least. And if you're a resident of these countries, or can obtain residency there, perhaps these paid relocation programs could help you kickstart a new adventure! 😊

The countries that pay you to move there I cover in this video include:
1️⃣ Ireland
Ireland has a program called Our Living Islands which is paying people to move to remote islands off the coast of Ireland to help populate them. This program pays families with grant money for refurbishing houses out on these islands.
2️⃣ Italy
Italy has made plenty of headlines due to its viral $1 Italian homes programs. But the country also has various regions with some paid relocation programs in place, such as Sardinia, Emilia Romagna, and Calabria.
3️⃣ Greece
The Greek island of Antikythera is also rolling out a paid relocation program to help repopulate it.
4️⃣ Spain
Like Italy, Spain has various regions where local governments are trying to spur economic and population growth by paying people to move there. This includes regions like Ponga, Rubia, and Extremadura.
5️⃣ Japan
Japan also has a relocation program that is trying to encourage people to move out of city centers like Tokyo and into more rural areas.
You can Google a list of other countries and places that have these sorts of paid to move programs. Portugal, Switzerland, Croatia, and France are a few more examples.
Just remember: you're not really getting paid to move to a major city. And even programs like the $1 home programs can have a lot more hurdles and costs than at first glance. But if you don't mind living in a very remote area, these sorts of programs could be for you!
And, in any case, I think they're interesting to learn about and to discuss 😊
Would you move to a remote region or new country with one of these programs? Or is this a disaster waiting to happen?
Thanks for watching and the support as always everyone!
