7029 Clun Castle hauls the Great Western Railway (1Z48) and RUNS INTO TROUBLE on the Devon gradients

This video features No. 7029 Clun Castle hauling a two day historical tour starting on day 1 from Birmingham Snow Hill to Plymouth taking in the steep gradients on the South Devon mainline. The gradients featured in this video are Rattery and Hemerdon. On day 2 the tour left Plymouth and headed for London Paddington and soon came to grief on the infamous Hemerdon Bank. The video shows the problem that was encountered. From London Paddington the tour headed back to Birmingham Snow Hill. The Castle provided an awesome soundtrack on both of the gradients and I have added drone clips from both Rattery and Hemerdon which I hope you enjoy.
