The 2023 World Freestyle Wrestling Championship was hosted by Belgrade in Serbia, and in this competition, the Iranian team became the runner-up with 94 points, and the American national wrestling team won the championship with 125 points.
Also, in Greco Roman Wrestling, Iran's national wrestling team won 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals with 102 points after the Republic of Azerbaijan and became the runner-up in the 2023 World Wrestling Championship.
