I can't believe TRD built this or could be easily convinced to take it out of their booth and open it up in the desert for us! This Toyota FJ Cruiser, aka the FJ BRUISER was a concept built by the team at TRD for SEMA 2023. Unlike most SEMA builds, it actually works...very well. Its powered by a current generation TRD NASCAR cup car engine which with standard tuning makes somewhere in the range of 750hp. They left the internals as-is but set the limiter down to 7000rpm (down from 9500rpm) to keep the engine from needing more maintenance than necessary while the marketing team is permitted to beat the snot out of it. That motor is backed by a TH400/Atlas combo, feeding into Currie enterprises Rock jock D70 axles, which turn big ol' 42" Nittos. For suspension, Its got FOX Factory Race Series 3.0 x14” Triple Bypasses, Factory Race Series 2.5 x 14” Coil-Overs with DSC’s, and Factory Race Series 2.0 x 3” Bump Stops.
