#79 Part 1: Uncovering the 5 Neurodegenerative Parkinsonisms

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this episode (part 1) Dr. Patel describes the difference between the 5 Neurodenerative Parkinsonisms: Parkinson's Disease, Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), and Lewey Body Dementia (which is discussed in Part 2). While Parkinson's affects 1 million in the United States (10 million worldwide), it's important to note that MSA only affects 15,000 to 50,000 Americans, PSP affects 20,000 Americans (both are rare diseases), and CBD affects 3,000 Americans. They all mimic each other in a number of ways but there are distinct differences. This is why it's important to always document changes in your symptoms and side effects.
