Q. What's the point of doing painful reflexology?
A. Eastern reflexology tends to be a harder pressure compared to western reflexology. The concept is different.
Eastern reflexology: Pain is good. No pain, no gain
Western reflexology: Pain isn't good. Massage should be a relaxing one
Personally I can't say which is better. Eastern one gets to the core of the reflex points deeper while western one gives more atmosphere of accepting what is.
I respect the clients' preference.
The reason why I do eastern style more is its easier adjustment of the strength; it can be harder and softer easily. And eastern style is less tiring for my hands.
