A UK post-punk group of musicians came together as more of a rock band, The Cult. Working at a studio in London and a mishap over producers led them to record one of their most iconic songs She Sells Sanctuary in 1985, with Wham produced Steve Brown.
The meaning of the song, according to lead singer Ian Astbury, is about sex.
