大阪から伊勢神宮へ昔の人が歩いてお参りした『伊勢参宮本街道』を歩くシリーズの第10回目です。
今回の伊勢本街道は、前回終了地点の牛峠を少し超えた分岐からスタートします。いきなりスタート出来ませんから、近鉄名張駅から三重交通バスで約1時間で敷津へ行き、敷津から3キロ歩いてからのスタートです。
奈良県御杖村神末の集落と集落の間に峠とは思えない程になだらかな道の途中の佐田峠へ着きます。佐田峠には明治維新の時に、仏法を廃し釈迦の教えを棄却する廃仏毀釈により３つに折れた首切地蔵がありました。
御杖村が設置している「敷津七不思議」があり、いかにも不思議な話や倭姫命に係わる話を、歩きながらその場所場所で楽しませてもらいました。
街道は丸山公園内を通過します。丸山公園の常設トイレは既に凍結するために冬期間の使用禁止となっていました。公衆トイレも少ないところなので注意が必要です。
丸山公園の端に岩坂峠があります。そこまでなだらかな道を来たので峠と思えませんでしたが、その後の国道368号線までが標高120ｍ越えの下り道となっていました。
岩坂峠を下ると、奈良県から三重県への県境です。

This is the 10th installment in a series on walking along the Ise Pilgrimage Route, the road that people used to walk from Osaka to Ise Grand Shrine.
This time, the Ise Honkaido trail starts from a fork a little past Ushitoge Pass, where the last trail ended. Since we can't start straight away, we took a Mie Kotsu bus from Kintetsu Nabari Station to Shikitsu in about an hour, and then walked 3 kilometers from Shikitsu to start the trail.
We arrive at Sada Pass, located between the villages of Kozue in Mitsue Village, Nara Prefecture, on a gentle road that makes it hard to believe it is a pass. At Sada Pass, there is a Kubikiri Jizo statue that was broken into three pieces during the Meiji Restoration as part of the anti-Buddhist movement that abolished Buddhism and rejected the teachings of Shakyamuni.
There is a "Seven Wonders of Shikitsu" set up by Mitsue Village, and as we walked we enjoyed hearing mysterious stories and stories related to Yamatohime-no-mikoto at each location.
The Ise Honkaido Road passes through Maruyama Park. The permanent restrooms in Maruyama Park were already closed to the public during the winter due to freezing. There are few public toilets in the area, so please be careful.
Iwasaka Pass is located at the edge of Maruyama Park. The road up to there was gentle so it didn't feel like a pass, but the road from there to Route 368 was a downhill road with an elevation of over 120m.
Once you descend Iwasaka Pass, you will reach the border between Nara and Mie prefectures.
