I bought this huge R2-D2 from eBay for £300. Originally it was part of a magazine DIY build over 2 years (100 issues) from DeAgostini. It looks incredibly well made, an absolute beauty...but can it be fixed.
Just to be clear, DO NOT use the foil trick on the batteries shown in this video. It can be very dangerous and lead to explosions and fire. I did it only for testing purposes and not as a solution to the problem. The proper button top batteries are required for R2-D2.
