Звездные Войны: Император Палпатин и Дарт Вейдер, как и многие другие мастера и ученики ситхов до них, не раз противостояли друг другу, что стало частью канона «Звездных войн». Став учеником Палпатина в «Мести ситхов», Вейдер неоднократно пытался уничтожить своего мастера, и хотя Император чаще всего побеждал, вплоть до искупления Вейдера в «Возвращении джедая», некоторые их сражения получились крайне драматичными и захватывающими.
