Another great battle between two Filipino legends, as Efren Reyes faces Francisco Bustamante at the 1995 US Open 9-Ball Championship at the Holiday Inn in Chesapeake, Virginia.
“The Magician” Efren Reyes is widely accepted as the best all around player to ever play the sport. He is an icon in his home country of The Philippines and has won just about every notable title that was available in the sport.
The second most well known Filipino player was probably “Django” Francisco Bustamante. This was still early in Bustamante’s Hall of Fame career, but he would go on to be named Player of the Year in 1998 after five Camel Pro Tour titles.
