It is the second fastest type train in the Tokaido Shinkansen. The “HIKARI” connect Tokyo with Shin-Osaka in approx. 3 hours, so if passengers want to use the “Japan Rail Pass” they should take this type train. （People who hold the “Japan Rail Pass” can’t take the “NOZOMI”）
The “HIKARI” stops at the “NOZOMI” stops stations + random stop 2 or 3 stations, so passengers must confirm whether stop or pass if they will get on or off at the way stations.
