Today's quick video introduces a (non scientific!) growing experiment with one of my favourite UK exotic jungle garden foliage plants, Colocasia Pink China - do they grow better and put out bigger tropical leaves in the ground or in water? Elephants ear plants are grown in wet environments in the tropics but I'm interested to see the diffence it makes over a UK summer, so let me know your predictions in the comments! I've linked to some of the fertilisers I use to feed plants like Colocasia, Musa Basjoo & Ensete banana plants plus cannas and Gunneras below, they're all greedy!
Budget Liquid Seaweed Fertiliser (Great for a lot of 'tropical' style plants)
