A Colocasia Pink China Experiment...

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Today's quick video introduces a (non scientific!) growing experiment with one of my favourite UK exotic jungle garden foliage plants, Colocasia Pink China - do they grow better and put out bigger tropical leaves in the ground or in water? Elephants ear plants are grown in wet environments in the tropics but I'm interested to see the diffence it makes over a UK summer, so let me know your predictions in the comments! I've linked to some of the fertilisers I use to feed plants like Colocasia, Musa Basjoo & Ensete banana plants plus cannas and Gunneras below, they're all greedy! Budget Liquid Seaweed Fertiliser (Great for a lot of 'tropical' style plants) https://amzn.to/3cZofLn Another brand with good reviews I've used in the past: https://amzn.to/3mET0c1 10lt Drum, how I now buy it - it's that helpful! https://amzn.to/3mrYyGu 20kg Chicken Manure Pellets, a great 'slow release' fertiliser for massive summer growth! https://amzn.to/3sZAj4R Vitax 6X Fertiliser, I use this alongside or instead of the above to boost the growth of big leaved plants like bananas, Alocasias etc. https://amzn.to/2Q3prVg Chempak No.2 High Nitrogen Plant Feed 800G - Great for anything with big leaves and fast summer growth! https://amzn.to/2RSLi2C If you've enjoyed my content and would like to say thanks for the price of a coffee then please head over to my Ko-fi, any kind donations would be appreciated and put towards creating more exciting content (or treats for Max if you wish!): https://ko-fi.com/georgesjunglegarden Thanks, George
