Just testing out the IFR/IMC capabilities of the Cub Crafters Carbon Cub FX3 on a day that was a little too marginal for fun VFR flying. I do get into the clouds for 10 minutes or so. The flight consists of a simple obstacle departure procedure from the base airport followed by an RNAV/GPS circling approach at a nearby local airport. Maybe my favorite part of this instrument setup is that I don't need any phones or tablets nor do I need any paper charts.
Part 2 has the return with an extra practice RNAV approach to LPV minimums (200 ft DH).
