Hey, I'm a medical student interning at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. I’m working in the Cardiovascular and Vision Lab, researching Spaceflight-Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome (SANS), a condition affecting 70% of astronauts during long missions. My mornings are spent analyzing optical coherence tomography (OCT) images to uncover patterns behind SANS and help develop countermeasures.

When I’m not in the lab, I explore other facilities and projects around the center, from astronaut training to cutting-edge research. What makes this experience truly special is collaborating with incredible peers from diverse backgrounds, all united by a passion for innovation.

This internship has been a dream come true. Stay tuned for more about my aerospace medicine journey.
