Former White House chief of staff and senior advisor Mick Mulvaney called the decision by the US Supreme Court to order the Trump administration to pay two billion dollars to USAID a “headscratcher”.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett who was picked by US President Donald Trump has been cristised by some to side with liberal justices in favour of USAID who are seeking payment for previously completed projects.
“A lot of folks in the trump team were very disappointed with Amy Coney Barrett,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host James Morrow.
“If this decision stands permanently, it’s going to make it very difficult for future executives to reign in the legislative state.”
