This is the picture of the art event held at March, 2024.
YURUKAWA-FU is the only one artist who criated the "Light Relief" in the world.
He creates his art by cutting insulation materials.
They shines blue or orange by shedded light on from the back, and thick ones become dark or thin ones become pale.
He completes the amazing art considering its thickness.
The first solo exhibition by YURUKAWA-FU was held in the modern architecture named
"WACHU-an" placed at Notre-DAM girl's school in Shishigatani, Kyoto.
Tunanori Iwase(I-OCTOBER inc), the organizer of this event wanted to held the YURUKAWA-FU's solo exhibition in Kyoto, and he came up with an idea to exhibit his works at the modern architecture still remaind in Kyoto not at museum or gallery.
Iwase had captured WACHU-an in video for one year from 2022.
WACHU-an was built 1920's and it has both Japanese and Western style rooms.
YURUKAWA-FU creates 'flowers' and 'rabits' of western style in addition to the 'dragons' and 'tigers' of Japanese style.
Iwase believed strongly "No other place it would be exhibit in WACHU-an !" when he met "Light Relief"
He thought "The unprecedented space would be made by mixed with the sprended arts and the architecture". Then he decided the best place for exhibition.
We solved meny problems and assignments one by one before realization, and finally we could held this event, some mass media attracted attention, at March, 2024 for one week.
Mr. YURUKAWA FU and Iwase will try to make new attemptions in the future.

2024年3月に行なわれたアートイベントのプロモーション映像である。
作家ゆるかわふうは、世界でただ一人 「光彫り」を生み出した日本人の芸術家である。
彼の作り出すアートは建築用の断熱材を彫って作られる。
断熱材は後ろから光を当てる事で、青やオレンジに光り、厚い部分は濃く、薄い部分は白っぽくなる。
彼はその厚みを計算しながら、一枚の素晴らしい絵を完成させる。
今回初めてゆるかわふうの個展が京都、鹿ヶ谷のノートルダム女学院の敷地内にある和中庵というモダン建築で開催された。
本イベントの主催者である岩瀬維則（株式会社アイ・オクトーバー代表）は、ゆるかわふうの個展を、京都で開きたいと考えていた。そして、美術館やギャラリーではなく、京都に残るモダン建築で展示する事を思いついた。
岩瀬は2022年から一年かけて、和中庵という建物を映像に収めていた。
和中庵は1920年代に建てられた建物で、その内部には洋風と和風の部屋が存在する。
ゆるかわふうが作り出す作品にも「龍」や「虎」といった和風のものと「花」や「うさぎ」という洋風のものがある。
光彫りの作品に出会った時、岩瀬は「光彫りを展示するのは和中庵の他には無い！」と強く確信した。
「作品だけで無く、建築の素晴らしさが融合する事で、きっと今までにない空間を作り出せる」と思い、ここにこれ以上ないベストな会場が決まったのである。
イベント実現までには、様々な苦悩や課題があったが、ひとつずつクリアしていき、遂に2024年3月、メディアの注目も集め、１週間のイベントを開催する事ができた。
今後も、ゆるかわふう氏と岩瀬は新しい試みをしていきたいと考えている。
