The Great Fire of London, which erupted on Pudding Lane in early September 1666, is one of the city's most infamous disasters..
Over the course of several dreadful days, the inferno consumed much of the old, walled City, destroying 87 churches, 44 livery halls, many famous landmarks and 13,200 homes.
In this video, I'd like to take you on a journey through London's greatest calamity, showing you how the fire developed and spread, the streets across which it raged, what the experience was like for those on the ground, and where you can now see the rare handful of buildings which managed to survived the blaze...
