Once fabled and exotic, there are more f/0.95 lenses around now than there were, especially for Micro Four Thirds cameras where the extra depth of field makes them more practically useful at full aperture. I've come to expect a trade-off in overall performance for that full stop advantage over even an f/1.4 lens but there's little evidence of it with this Mitakon. To cap it all, the Mitakon is a 17mm focal length mild wide-angle, widely regarded as an ideal do-it-all prime lens. It is a manual lens and sells at a remarkably low price for such a beast, around £300/ US$399. ---------- If you like my reviews buy me a drink by clicking here https://paypal.me/mftman or buy though my Amazon shop at https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/davidthorpe In association with ePHOTOzine - http://www.ephotozine.com See my Menu Simplified books on Micro Four Thirds cameras at https://amzn.to/3iWAHfX (USA), https://amzn.to/3eoWlGh (UK) Sound post production by Charles Walkowski at www.walkowski.co.uk See my M43 blog at http://m43blog.dthorpe.net/
