In this video I will tell you the tale of of Earl the Magmar, who is single-handedly the reason transfer moves from older generations of Pokemon got deleted for competition.
Sejun Park in 2013 brought this Magmar to the world championship, where he got 5th. This Magmar had to come from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, a game released 8 years before this tournament, and the only place to get a Magmar with the move Follow Me.
It was optimal for his team to get this Magmar, and he hacked it. It had illegal IVs that no one could EVER have on this Magmar.
