Făniță (Sebastian Papaiani) is a merchant or, as we would say today, an entrepreneur. Where there's a field of flowers, he sees beehives; where there's a fair, he sees a doughnut stand; where there's a road, he sees a carriage to carry people. The villagers keep pulling him to come up with his ideas for the collective farm, but he won't and won't. Făniță is intoxicated by the capitalism dream, and the movie is at pains to point out that his ambition is possible under communism - that is, not outlawed; but it is, however, a little impossible.
Synopsis:
Făniță, an ambitious young mani s willing to to earn money through personal initiatives, will fail in all these endeavors, eventually being persuaded to join the Agricultural Production Cooperative of the village.
