Freddy Kruger is notable as while he had a mundane origin similar to Jason before going supernatural, our introduction to the guy is very much post supernatural transformation. He's a snarky serial killer who torments children in their dreams, toying with them while performing vertical unanesthetized street surgery. Of course like Jason, it took a couple movies to really hammer him down...
