I postponed posting this sad video because I don't like posting sad stories, but the story of Gandalf had to be told. This senior dog was abandoned on the streets, completely blind and unable to fend for himself.
I rushed to the location as quickly as possible, and not knowing if he would get scared and try to run, I immediately secured him with my leash.
As soon as I got him to the car, I shared a picture with Loreta. She was very upset and immediately started preparing a healthy meal for him.
A few friends on Instagram suggested the name Gandalf for him, and it was perfect for this old man. If you're not following us there yet, please join us today: https://www.instagram.com/hopeforpawsrescue/
The final scene of this video is very sad to watch.
Sadly, I had to do it from a few feet away because I got Covid for the first time out of nowhere (mid-2024), but it was important for me to be there with him, with his foster moms, and with the medical team at CARES who loved him.
Many times, it's family members who abandon the pets of their parents who passed away, and this is why it is so critical to make a plan for your pets, have a written plan, and have a backup plan, too.
We partnered with FreeWill to enable everybody to write their own Will / Living Trust for FREE so you can set up a plan for your pets. Imagine the horror of looking down from above and being unable to help your pets who trusted you!
Please read this short blog, create your own will, and if you need our help in being the backup plan, we will be there for your pets: https://www.HopeForPaws.org/blog/National-Make-A-Will-Month
Please don't leave this to chance.
Thank you,
Eldad
