A simple and happy life of a mountain man surrounded by animals, cooking Norwegian food. I woke up early in the morning and started with the household chores. I chopped wood and stacked it, planning to bring more to ensure we get through the winter comfortably, along with my animals, keeping the house warm. After working with the wood, I gave the drawer under the sink a touch of color using a burner, giving it a rustic and beautiful finish. Then I decided to cook a Norwegian-style dish I recently discovered in some old books. The stove did its job, and the food turned out tasty, but it seems there will need to be some adjustments to the stove. The oven is placed too low, and the fire doesn't generate enough heat to warm it properly. Despite this, the meal was delicious. After the hearty meal, I insulated the kitchen floor with foam, and then continued stacking the wood. I finished the task just as night fell, and later cooked some roasted sausages. Dear friends, I have some concerning news: my dog, Maya, isn’t feeling well. She had some severe episodes that frightened me terribly. I rushed her to the emergency veterinary clinic, where she underwent multiple blood tests and an abdominal exam. She’s refusing to eat, and this is a very difficult time for me. She’s been prescribed treatment, including for epilepsy, as she is facing several complications. Maya is my soul dog—while I love all my animals, she holds a special place in my heart. I adopted her when she was in critical condition as a puppy. She had been abandoned, and I took her in with love. It’s incredibly hard to imagine losing her. I pray that God helps her recover. Thank you all for your support during this challenging time.
