Today we celebrate Mai Tai Day as proclaimed by the City of Oakland, California, home to the original Trader Vic's.
This Mai Tai is my Mai Tai and while similar to so many others, it's just a little bit different and if you're a fab of Mai Tais, it should provide you with another recipe to riff of off.
The rum is the star of this Mai Tai with Appleton 12 and Hamilton 86. A split of Clement Creole Shrubb and Grand Marnier offers a little different orange liqueur flavor and provides a fair amount of sweetness.
