February here at The Last Homely House and the weather is cold and windy still. I've been hunkering down beside the fire with some lovely gentle stitching - revisiting the Plus Quilt I stared many months ago. It's a bold and colourful design and perfectly meets the challenge of cheering me up! The template sheet I talk about can be found here as a free download from Mollie Johanson https://wildolive.blogspot.com/2015/06/epp-template-make-mini-plus-quilt-with.html Thank you Mollie! I really enjoy English Paper Piecing and have Kits in my shop so that you can try you hand at it too. Check out the shop here https://thelasthomelyhouse.co.uk Why do I love it so much? Well, it's so satisfying to sew on fabric in a precise way and not mind how or when the piece will be finished. I love seeing this one grow slowly as the mood takes me and I need a change of pace. I think we can sometimes be focused on the result more than the process and forget to enjoy the journey! My Pinterest board is right here https://uk.pinterest.com/Thelasthomelyhouse/ There is an interesting journey unfolding over on Patreon where I have started an Indigo Project with my daughter in law Anna which will unfold throughout the year with a monthly catch up on each of our quilts. This is just one of the things you can find if you decide to join my Patreon Family here https://www.patreon.com/c/thelasthomelyhouse Anna chooses the music for these videos from Epidemic Sound and I love her choices today They are Winter Months and Winter Dreams and fit the mood perfectly! Thank you Anna! Join me every couple of weeks on my Lime Green Sofa by subscribing and put on the notification bell so you won't miss when I post a new video. See you soon Take care Love Kate xxx
