You can cycle from Kensington Olympia in west London to Acton entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes.
The route is 7.7km long (4.8 miles) and makes use of Cycleway 9, the Hammersmith Road cycle lanes, and quiet streets including Fisher's Lane - plus a cycle track along the A40.
The journey takes around 30 minutes to ride, which is faster than it would take by public transport.
