Video Not Working? Fix It Now

As deer habitat managers, we have countless great tools at our disposal to make our hunting properties better.  One of those tools is hinge-cutting. Hinge-cutting can be a bit of a buzz word in the habitat sector.  Some folks don't see the merit in it.  But after using it for years, I love it as a tool and it's made a big difference on our property. With that being said, it's not a tool that works on every property.  There are some tree species that don't hinge-cut well. In this video, I discuss the trees I like to hinge-cut here in Minnesota as well as the time of year I think trees hinge-cut the best. For more about Purpose-Filled Habitat Management, check out my website at https://www.pfhabitat.com/ * For foliar treatment of buckthorn I treat them with a 5% solution of Triclopyr 4. For cut stump I treat the stump with a 25% solution of Triclopyr 4/ 75% diesel or crop oil. I like to mix in applicator dye with both solutions to see where I'm spraying easier. You end up using less chemical if you mix in dye.
