Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Las Vegas B-listers Jerry Vale and Joanie Sommers perform their act for a failed television pilot shopped around for syndication in local television markets. A VERY SPECIAL OCCASION is made up of various Vegas-style musical acts, short music video segments, promotional product placement, Chamber of Commerce travelogue, plenty of 1960s hipster cheese, some show-biz in-jokes, and even Ed Sullivan blowing off Jerry Vale on-stage (we can only hope it was a joke). The low budget production failed to make a dent, and the footage has been unseen for decades, until a faded 16mm Kinescope was discovered in the trunk of a former television producer in Knoxville, Tennessee.
