Join me for a visit to an exhibition of illustrated journals in Huismes, France. Here they are called carnets de voyages and it is common to get together to show and tell pages, paints, bindings, techniques, and adventures, you name it.
The keeping of the carnet de voyage is popular in France and the journal makers are called carnettistes. Exhibitions like this are popular but usually out of driving distance for me so when turned up next door, I ran like a bunny to soak up the inspiration and comradery.

Please join me as I look at some of the pages of four of the carnettistes who were thoughtful enough to share their work with me.
