Lochdubh is my imaginary slice of the Scottish Highlands 148 times smaller than reality (British N scale 1/148). In just 60cm I can immerse myself in 1989 when the branch was cut off from Inverness along with the rest of the Far North lines after the collapse of the Ness Viaduct bridge. Large logo 37s stabled at Muir of Ord worked the line with a motley collection of old blue and grey carriages - an Indian Summer before the ubiquitous Sprinters took over all lines north of the Highland Capital.
This video introduces the layout, its home, its genesis and takes you back to 1989 and lets you get lost a sound scape and my second hand memories. Perhaps as close to art as our hobby can get?
