The wind was maybe double what was forecast and whilst my Hilleberg Soulo was standing strong, Ronnie and Bob's Durstons were on a more exposed pitch and were taking a real battering from the wind. it was a tough but sensible decision to abandon camp and put safety first. We learned some lessons on this camp but did the right thing and still had a safe and enjoyable experience that we will remember.
