Abundance of 66s with a Convoy
DRS, Freightliner and GBRf
Bitterly Cold at Carlisle
19 Feb 25
Although there wasn't a frost in Carlisle, a persistent wind delivered wind chill on the station and elsewhere!
Lots of 66s amongst the locos - from DRS, GBRf and Freightliner.
Catch of the day for me was from St Nicholas Bridge where I recorded the Carlisle Yard to Clitheroe cement tanks coming round the curve from the station towards London Road Junction whilst a DRS 68 hauled an empty aggregates train from Bog Junction towards Upperby Junction.
While recording the Tesco train passing the station on time, later in the afternoon it would cause a delay to northbound and later southbound passenger trains after struggling on Beattock bank.
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
Any observations are my own and not intended to show any authority and may show my misunderstanding.
