We absolutely LOVE this dip technique for Xmas baubles- Let us at Vibey Creatives know if you have seen this technique on other YouTube Xmas ornament videos.
The dip technique uses a lot of paint - however, at the base of the cup - it is mostly white paint - similar to how one would apply a base quote to canvas. With the amount of paint used in the video- you could get at least 4 to 5 baubles painted. The trick is to immerse the baubles very very very slowly into the paint and lift very slowly too.
The excess paint can be used for a Dutch pour - just add a bit more white paint and water to thin it out- it will be a bit greyish/brownish- but adding a b it more white makes it an interesting muted base color.
Let us know what you think of this technique.
