Hello my Beautiful People! Welcome back to the garden! It was raining when we shot this video, and its going to start raining again tonight... but for now lets get lost in some paint and pretty colors and a cool color blocking experiment! Lets get started!
I'm using a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft.
I'm using a 4-Chamber Open Cup that my son 3D printed for me
You can find a lot of different Open Cup pouring tools on Etsy.
I really wanted to explore creating a bold piece with distinct separate colors in it with this Open Cup tool. I held the cup down while I added paint and then gently lifted it up and down to release the paint. I refill the cup a few times to create a bigger puddle of paint and then tilt it out.
So... the experiment worked! I did not love the final composition, so I put my open cup tool back on the canvas and filled it again, and twirled it around in the center. This looked much better to me.. but once I stretched it out it was not my favorite piece. There are some lovely parts, and the cells are gorgeous. I wish I could have left it without stretching the last cup out, I really liked it then.
Live and learn, right? It did give me a few more ideas that I want to experiment with in the near future. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice!

I would love to know if you think I should have left it or added that last cup. If you can, please Share this video. Thank you so much for hanging out with me today! Have a wonderful week.
Much love to you all
