AIMLOW #5 - Application to Teaching Practice
Here we focus on the classroom, starting with some examples from the community of how AI can be used in your teaching. We hear about Marco’s students using Microsoft Copilot to help draft a podcast on the Copenhagen Interpretation and Gordana using Chat GPT to look for new experiments and creative combinations of equipment. Kalina shares a number of resources for teaching about AI, and we collectively create a list of resources.
AIMLOW - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Online Workshop, is a 6-week mini-course for teachers developed by Michael Gregory (European Physical Society, Discovery Space) and Kalina Dimitrova (Sofia University, PADME, ALICE). We’ll start by introducing general concepts of AI and how it works, focusing on language models and image recognition, then share some classroom activities and applications. The course will finish with an introduction to Discovery Space as an invitation to use this innovation in your school.
