urdu Translation
آج دوستوں کی محبت حد سے زیادہ ہے دل کیوں اداس ہے
میرے ایک ایک بال میں شوق پھیلا ہوا ہے آج میری آنکھوں سے آنسوؤں کی برسات جاری ہے
خواب میں اس کی شکل نظر آئی اور زلفوں سے خوشبو مہکی
جس کے مشاہدے سے میں مدہوش ہو گیا محبوب کی آنکھوں کی فوج نے میرے سر پر چڑھائی کی
میرے محبوب کا چہرہ چودھویں کا چاند ہے
اسکی پیشانی پر نوری لاٹ چمکتی ہے
اس کی زلفیں سیاہ ہیں آنکھ مست ہے آنکھیں مخمور اور مد بھری ہیں۔
میرے محبوب کے ابرو مانند کمان کے ہیں جس سے پلکوں کے تیر نکل رہے ہیں
اور میرے محبوب کے لب مانند لعل یمن ہیں یعنی یمن کے لال کی طرح ہیں اور سفید دانت ایسے ہیں جیسا کہ موتی کی لڑیاں ہوں
محبوب کی صورت کو جان کہوں، جاناں کہوں یا جان جہان کہوں
اگر میں سچ کہوں تو میرا محبوب رب کی شان ہے وہ شان جس سے تمام شانیں وجود میں آئی ہیں
میرے محبوب کی صورت ، بے صورت یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ کی صورت سے ہے وہ بے صورت ، صورت میں ظاہر ہوئی
اس مورت یعنی اس شکل مبارک کو دیکھنے سے بے رنگ نظر آتا ہے جس وقت وحدت اس صورت میں جلوہ گر ہوئی
میرے محبوب انور کی صورت مبارکہ بے صورت یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف راستہ دکھانے والی ہے یا بتانے والی ہے
توبہ صرف راستہ ہی نہیں بلکہ عین حقیقت کو پہچاننے والی ہے لیکن یہاں پر کم عقل کا کام نہیں کیونکہ یہ موتی بہت کم لوگوں کے حصہ میں آتا ہے
اے محبوب اپنے چہرہ اقدس سے یمن کی دھاری دھار چادر ہٹا لیں اور اس من پسند چہرے اور اس شکل مبارک کا دیدار عطا فرمائیں
وہی میٹھی باتیں بولیں محبوب جو آپﷺ نے میرے ساتھ وادی حمرا میں کی تھیں۔
اے محبوب مہربانی فرمائیں اور حجرہ مبارک سے مسجد میں تشریف لے آئیں کیونکہ آپ کے نورانی چہرہ اقدس کے دیدار کے لیے سب آس لگائے بیٹھے ہیں اور سب اس انتظار میں ہیں
دونوں جہاں آپ کی راہ اقدس میں آنکھیں بچھائے ہوئے ہیں چاہے وہ انسان ہوں فرشتے ہوں حوریں ہوں یا پریاں ہوں
ہم چاہنے والوں اور آپ کے درد فراق میں رونے والوں پر اور آپ پر اے میرے آقا لاکھ دفعہ قربان ہو جانے والوں پر
اور ان غلاموں پر جو کہ آپ کے دست اقدس پر مفت بکے ہوئے ہیں اللہ کرے کہ وہ وصال کی گھڑیاں دوبارہ آئیں
پاک ہے اللہ تعالیٰ جس نے آپ ص کو اتنا خوبصورت بنایا جس نے آپ ص کو اتنے احسن طریقہ سے بنایا ہے اور جس نے آپ ص کو بہت کمال سے بنایا ہے
کہاں یہ مہر علی اور کہاں آپ ص کی تعریف مبارکہ یہ گستاخ آنکھیں کہاں جا کے اڑ گئی ہیں
English translation
Why is it that the yearning for the loved One (i.e., the Holy Prophet ) is specially strong to-day ?
Why is my heart sadder today then ever before ?
Why does longing penetrate every tissue of mine
And why are the eyes shedding tears like shower of rain.
His shining face appeared to me in a vision,
And fragrance emanated in profusion from His tresses;
I fainted from the sight of these vision;
The hordes of his eyes overpowered me.
His face shine like the full moon;
A brilliant light radiates from his brow
His hair is black and his eyes are bewitching and intoxicated.
His two eyes-brows are like cross-bows,
Hurling darts of pointed eyes-lashes (in all direction)
His lips are red like the rubies of Yemen;
His whites teeth like a string of pearls.
I am not sure whether I should call his face the essence of life;
Or life of the entire universe
The truth is that it is (like) the glory of God,
From which all other (worldly) glories originated,
This face (of the Prophet) emerged from the Faceless One (i.e., Allah)
The Faceless One manifests Himself through this face.
The colorless (reality ) has been revealing itself through this image,
Ever since unity exploded into Diversity.
It is this face (of holy Prophet) that guides (mankind) to the path of the Faceless One (i.e., Allah)
Nay (not the path only but) to the Ultimate Reality Itself.
However understanding this (secret) is beyond the capacity of the simpletion;
Only the select few succeed in discovering and capturing the Pearl (of truth).
Be gracious enough to remove from the holy face the sheet of Yemen (O prophet)
And grant us a glimpse of the endearing Face
Which thou hadst uttered of valley of Hamra
Come (once again) from the cell to the masque,
Foe everyone longs for a glimpse of the image full of light
(and) denizens of both the worlds (i.e., this world and the Hereafter)are laving their eyes in thy path human being, angles, the houris and the fairies.
For the ones yearning and pining (for a glimpse of shine);
Who are ready to sacrifice (their lives) for thy sake;
For these slaves ready to sell themselves out without any price (in thy path)
May those moment of bliss come back once again
Glory the Allah, who created thee (O holy prophet)in the most beautiful, the best, and the most perfect mould.
Who is (the humble) Meher Ali to chant thy praises;
How (presumptuous and) impudent his eyes are to aspire to the heights of thy Love.
