A project to feel the charm of Fukushima with AKB48, "Dousitemo Fukushima ga sukida(We Just like Fukushima)"
In order to support the sustainable recovery of Fukushima, we are running the event "Dousitemo Fukushima ga sukida(We Just like Fukushima)" with AKB48 to promote the unknown charms of Fukushima.
The first event was held in 2023 at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku-hiroba, and recorded approximately 6,000 visitors over two days. The food trucks and merchandise corners, which were free to enter, offered a variety of Fukushima specialties such as sake, fruit, and sweets, which visitors enjoyed.
In addition, the "handover event" at the AKB48 stage (paid), where members handed out a "selection set of Fukushima's delicious foods" as a souvenir to participants, was a big hit.
This time, the event will be held in Akihabara, the holy land where AKB48's theater is located. Akihabara is bustling with inbound tourists, and is a popular spot for foreign tourists in Japan.
The venue faces Chuo-dori, where the pedestrian zone will be held. Admission to the first floor is free, and you can experience various booths filled with the charm of Fukushima, including food trucks where you can enjoy delicious Fukushima food. Of course, there is also Fukushima sake, which is home to some of Japan's leading sake breweries.
And on the basement floor, a special event will be held exclusively for ticket buyers! This time's souvenir, the "Fukushima Delicious Food Select Set," is a special selection of products selected by AKB48 members Hirata Yuki and Mizushima Miyu when they visited Fukushima.
It's sure to be a special experience with talks and live performances that can only be seen here!
