On January 29th 1983, three days after Paul William Bryant's passing, Alabama went to Pauley Pavilion to play No. 1 UCLA, and the 10-6 Crimson Tide came away with a 70-67 upset victory. Alabama never trailed in the game and led by as many as 16 points. Despite that, UCLA rallied back to tie the game.
