Albanese government to pledge $842 million to help Indigenous communities in NT

The federal government will commit $842 million in funding over six years to help close the gap in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is expected to announce the funding agreement on Friday during his visit to Alice Springs. The Northern Territory Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro and Labor MP Marion Scrymgour are set to join the Prime Minister on Friday.
