Albert Speer was Hitler's architect and Minister of Armaments. He built structures symbolizing Nazi power and played a critical role in prolonging World War II. Speer managed to avoid execution after the war by crafting an image of himself as a "gentleman Nazi" and distancing himself from key atrocities. Albert Speer joined the Nazi Party in 1931 after being captivated by Hitler's speeches. His architectural projects, such as the Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg, caught Hitler’s attention and elevated his status. In 1934, Hitler appointed him as the Reich’s Chief Architect.
