I show you how to create epic ambient pads in the Alchemy Synth of Logic Pro X 10.4.3. We take a foley sample, a lightbulb ping, and use it with the granular playback engine of Alchemy. We mix this sound with a second oscillator sound to create an evolving and pulsing ambient pad.
Furthermore, while we are doing ambient sound design in Logic we discover a few tricks to create subtle evolving sounds in Alchemy with the FM filter type. With a simple sine wave osc, and the (FM - Frequency Modulation) filter modulator-depth attached to an LFO, it will generate higher harmonics in waves.

Combining sampled sources with synthesis on a second oscillator in Alchemy gives us multiple ways to create interesting sound designs for our modern music productions in Logic Pro X 10.4.3.

Alchemy is a versatile synth with many options and features that we discuss in the video. You can create any type of sounds with the synth if you give it time to sink in.
