Neon tetras are possibly one of the most underrated aquarium fish. They have a reputation for being common, beginner fish that everyone owns at some point in their aquarium hobby. And sometimes I do wonder if people stop to really look at these beauties. Neon tetras shine in the aquarium like no other fish can and just because they are relatively cheap to purchase doesn't mean they don't deserve the same love as their more expensive cousins. Personally I am a huge fan of the humble neon tetra.
