This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks subcompact crossover SUV. The 2025 Nissan Kicks is powered by a new 2L 4-cylinder matched to a CVT, 141 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. FWD and AWD options are available. While you may think the power numbers are low, this subcompact crossover has got some pretty good kick to it.
The has a bolder looking exterior design with a wider stance and a sportier vibe. It is bigger than the previous model, 2.8” longer, 1.6” wider and has almost an inch more height. The ground clearance is great on this model, 8.4” that’s almost an inch and half more clearance than the outgoing model.
The 2025 Nissan Kicks cabin gets improvements with more upscale materials, I really like the pattern on the seats and the technology has been updated with a standard 7” driver display, available 12.3” display and a 12.3” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In the US, a 7” touchscreen with wired Carplay and Android Auto is standard but the larger screen is available. Nissan focused on comfort level adding zero gravity seats to the front and second rows, the flat bottom steering wheel gives the interior a sporty feel and there’s plenty of storage, the cupholders are big enough to fit a 30-ounce coffee tumbler. The Kicks comes standard with cloth upholstery, available leatherette with cloth inserts and two-tone stitching that you see on this top trim test model.
Available 2025 Nissan Kicks features include, a heated steering wheel, wireless charger, 10-speaker Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, ProPilot Assist and a 360-camera. The Kicks is missing some features, power front seats, a passenger seat height adjustment, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a power liftgate. While I can live without some of these, I do miss a height adjustment on the passenger seat and a power driver’s seat.
Here’s the Canadian 2025 Nissan Kicks pricing, S FWD/AWD $29,979 CAD/$31,979 CAD
SV FWD/AWD $31,529 CAD/$33,529 CAD, SV Premium AWD $34,329 CAD,
SR Premium AWD $37,679 CAD. Pricing includes, freight, PDI and fees.
In the US, S FWD/AWD $21,830 USD/$23,330 USD, SV FWD/AWD $23,680 USD/$25,330 USD, SV Premium FWD/AWD $25,180 USD/$26,830 USD, SR FWD/AWD $26,180 USD/$27,680 USD, SR Premium FWD/AWD $28,130 USD/$29,630 USD.
2025 Nissan Kicks fuel economy is quite good especially on the highway, 8.4L/100 km, 28 MPG city
and 6.6L/100 km, 35 MPG highway.
