Allen Edmonds Marlow, This wingtip gets a custom dye patina and mirror shine.

First of all what a fantastic shoe! I am loving the Allen Edmonds marlow. The lack of medallion on the toe gives it a more unique and really sharp look. Too bad these have been discontinued for over a decade but they still look great. These were sent to me asking for an olive green patina. It was a little tricky to get the tone just right. There is surprisingly little difference when mixing color between pea green, grass green and olive green. Furthermore the custom mix can look very different on the leather than it does on a white paper. So it took a few mixes and a bit of playing around with shading to really get it right but in the end I was quite pleased with this outcome.
