Hello! Thank you all for waiting for as long as you have for this video to come out. I'm impressed that the video blew up despite being one and a half years after the Sonic Alternate phase passed, and I'm genuinely touched by the positive reception the video received.
Believe it or not, I'm actually not that satisfied with the end product. I don't like the mixing. I'd say it's better than Act 1 when I was a Furnace Noob, but it all sounds mashed up together and noisy. Composition-wise, it does sound a little like I'm running through each and every idea I have with this song - compared to Woofle who wisely took their time with each of theirs. I mean, I'm no Joy Tay but I can always be better. Still I am genuinely happy that everyone else really liked it.
So.... I know what you're thinking... what the hell?????? Why'd it take me this long? It's odd, I've always known how this song was going to go ever since the release of Act 2 - including Scrooble's ADEZ Motif and that build-up to the chorus - but I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to actually put that idea down on the tracker program. Then I had work to do, then I had my crash-out. Then I got bored and I was like yk what let me work on AALBZ2 since it's right there
Also, what do I mean by "Sonic Ver"? In Sonic's run (haha) of Launch Base Zone Act 2, he's on a race against time to take down the Death Egg before it launches into space and save the world. I was always a fan of the way Woofle's Act 2 envisions that race against time, so I did the same - obviously still with the approach I did with Act 1.
However, because I followed suit, this OST wouldn't make sense for Knuckles' Act 2 which takes place after the events of Sonic 3K. Woofle knew that all those years ago and correctly brought up that Knuckles would need a completely different Act 2 music.
If I were to do that - and I am considering it - I think Knuckles' Act 2 would sound a lot more atmospheric, aesthetically similar to Act 1 since there's no death egg anymore (but givng AM4N vibes iykwim???)
Finally, why does it sound so different? Simple: It was always my intention. If I were to do a remake of the entire OST in Furnace, every Act 2 would deviate a lot more from Woofle's original than every Act 1 (Excluding Angel Island 2 and Marble Garden 2)
